Ryan and Jenn met in Seaside at an annual beach volleyball tournament in passing with a mutual friend. Only after a 5 minute introduction they were left with nothing but interest only to go their separate ways. Months later without crossing paths since, she needed to find out what this guy was all about. With no idea of his last name and his first name a blur, some investigative work was in order…or should we say internet stalking?? After finally connecting and exchanging brief conversation, she sensed he wasn’t the ‘serious type’. So, once again, they went their separate ways. Another several months later, Jenn randomly posted an article on the “Challenges of Christianity." He was intrigued by her vulnerability on such a topic and immediately felt compelled to know her story. For the first time, he wanted to share his. Connecting through their faith, it was that moment they realized that this could really be something…
Ryan wanted to plan a post quarantine adventure and both being the adrenaline junkies that we are, we loaded onto a tiny airplane, strapped ourselves to a tandem diver and threw ourselves out of a perfectly good flying airplane dropping at 13,000 feet in the sky at 120 mph. While processing an adrenaline dump of a lifetime, I looked down from 600 feet to see a 60 foot long sign saying, “Marry me, Jenn?” Still trying to process what I had just done while trying to process what is about to happen, Ryan knelt to one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. Being at a loss for words all I could think about was dropping to my knees with him. It was then I finally said, "YES!" We are so excited and honored to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you.
