How We MetHow We Met

I moved to Atlanta, GA, on March 15, 2019. On March 16th, I met Isaac during a Sabbath worship service. We didn't speak too much to each other during service, but little did we know that it would be the introduction to our love story!

Isaac Proposed!Isaac Proposed!

On March 16, 2024, Isaac was full of surprises. He presented me with a bag full of gifts as we drove to a secret location. In the bag of gifts was a cute little box he told me not to open until we made it to our location. I held on tight to the box, assuming it was an engagement ring (boy was I wrong, lol). When we arrived at the secret location, I quickly realized that it was a helicopter airport and we were scheduled for a private ride. Just before getting on the helicopter, my mother called asking for Isaac - I should've known then that something was up, but I just brushed it off. Then we boarded and took off. During the helicopter ride, Isaac instructed me to open the little box from earlier, and when I opened it there was a beautiful double heart necklace with the date 3/16 engraved on one heart and an infinity symbol on the other. Isaac let me know that this gift was to commemorate the day that we met 5 years earlier. While it wasn't the ring I was hoping for, I was in shock that he'd do something so special to celebrate the day we met. So, I thought that was it, and when the ride was over we would go to dinner and then home. But, (here's the good part) as we were leaving the airport, Isaac asked me to call my mom. Then we stopped at a little bench outside of the airport; the only lit-up area outside at that time. He told me he had to tie his shoe, so I sat down to wait for him. Next thing I knew, as he was getting up he was down on one knee with a ring in his hand!!! I immediately started to cry and said no way this is happening. Once he was done with his sweet speech, I said YES! But the surprises didn't end there. He told me we had a reservation and we were almost going to miss it. When we arrived at the restaurant/lounge and walked in, we were met with some of our close friends and family and spent the night celebrating our engagement. It was the best night ever!!
