Aliyah and Armoni met in high school in ROTC class. Aliyah was outgoing and always brought great energy wherever she went, while Armoni was the quiet new kid who mostly kept to himself. One thing about Armoni stood out though — his sneakers. He was a true sneakerhead, always showing up with a fresh pair. One day, Aliyah noticed and complimented his sneakers. Armoni heard her, but being shy, he simply nodded and looked away. Still, that small moment stuck. As time went on, ROTC activities led to more conversations, more laughs, and slowly Armoni began to open up. What started with a simple compliment soon grew into a friendship — and eventually, something much deeper. ❤️

During college, Aliyah and Armoni continued their journey together at Georgia State University, although Armoni had started a year earlier than Aliyah. As they navigated the ups and downs of college life, their relationship continued to grow stronger. Some of their favorite memories were made through the simple moments — bonding over their love for food, especially late nights at Fellini’s Pizza, and the many days spent eating Chick-fil-A together while Aliyah worked at the one on campus. They created little traditions along the way, like having special meeting spots around campus where they would meet, talk, and spend time together. In the middle of busy schedules, classes, and growing into adulthood, those small moments became the memories that meant the most and helped shape the bond they share today. 🫂

As they stepped into adulthood, both Aliyah and Armoni began building their careers in technology. They spent countless days and late nights pushing themselves to become the best engineers they could be. From attending each other’s project presentations to staying up late teaching one another code, they were always in each other’s corner. During this chapter of life, grace became an important word for them. Life brought its challenges — navigating the uncertainty of COVID, Armoni recovering from an Achilles injury, and Aliyah continuing to grow stronger and more disciplined in the gym. Through it all, they supported each other with patience, understanding, and love. Those moments — the hard ones and the meaningful ones — only strengthened their bond and made it clear that they were meant to walk through life together. 👩🏾‍❤️‍👨🏾

These days, Aliyah and Armoni spend their time exploring the world together — traveling, hiking, and even attending weightlifting competitions. They’ve visited incredible places like Hawaii, Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, and Colombia in South America, creating memories they’ll treasure forever. Through every adventure, one thing has remained the same: they continue to choose each other. Now they are now preparing for their next chapter , planning their wedding and building a life side by side. While their story is still being written, they consider the journey to be a beautiful one.
