We first met in 2009 fresh out of high school and went our separate ways for 10 years. In December of 2019, I was looking to buy some dirt bikes and reached out to Chris with some questions on one I was looking to buy for myself. I asked him out for drinks as a thank you for his help. (Who am I kidding? I have never been very forward and I just wanted an excuse to see him!) That night was so filled with stories and even more laughter like two best friends catching up after spending too much time apart - it was simple and perfect.
We usually try to do date nights once a month and we always take turns on who decides the date night activities. On this particular date night, our birthdays were coming up the following week and Chris wanted to keep the date night location a surprise. He took us to the Tower of America in San Antonio for a romantic dinner. Their chart house revolves and it was so pretty overlooking all the lights of the city. At the end of the meal, Chris got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES!! We can't wait to celebrate our union with all our family and friends!
