Our story began unexpectedly at a gathering of mutual friends and we ended the night with a simple meal at Whataburger. At the time, neither of us were actively looking for anything, but from the very beginning something about our connection just felt right and conversation felt open and free. As time went on, those meaningful conversations turned into laughter, shared experiences, and a relationship built on genuine friendship and love. What we love most about us is our spontaneity and the way we want to experience life together—whether that means going to a last minute concert, discovering new music, hiking new trails, or traveling to new places. Through every adventure, big or small, we’ve continued to grow closer and create memories that mean the world to us.

On a Sunday afternoon, Dan made an elaborate plan to take Sarah to a nice dinner followed by a visit to see the Christmas lights at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville. Sarah knew there was a dinner reservation, but she had no idea the evening would continue with a stroll through the holiday lights. When they pulled into the parking lot, she was excited—but she couldn’t help wishing her best friends were there to share the experience with her. Little did she know, they were already there, hiding in the freezing cold and waiting to capture the moment Dan got down on one knee and Sarah said yes to forever. The surprise was made even sweeter knowing that the week before, Dan had visited Cheekwood with one of his groomsmen, Michael, to scope out the perfect spot on the garden grounds for the proposal. In the glow of the Christmas lights, surrounded by so much love, our forever began. Our hearts are filled with gratitude that we found one another, and we cannot wait to take the next step in our story as husband and wife.
