We're getting married!

I met Armando when I first arrived in Okinawa, he was one of the first people that I met in my unit. It took a while before we became friends, I saw how hard he worked, his sense of humor, and even if he tried to hide it I saw how much he cared for other people. We had been friends for a year when I had started to develop feelings for him. After a night out I asked him to close his eyes so I could work up the courage to kiss my friend. After doing nothing for a bit he asked what was going on in an answer I said if you don’t want to just say so. After I kissed him he said we should wait until the next morning with clear heads, I agreed but asked for another kiss in case he said we should just be friends. The next morning my brain won over my heart and the last thing I wanted was to ruin an amazing friendship. Two months later, after thinking about him all of the time, and staring at him when I didn’t think he was looking. We went onto a roof after a night out, just us, to look at the stars. While talking about friendship and each other the kiss came up. I asked if he remembered the kiss, when he said he did I asked why he didn’t kiss me again. He kissed me on the rooftop, that we were not supposed to be on, and we stayed there still talking late into the night. The following day i looked at him and said you know we are dating right? To which his response was “Huh?” Basically I fell in love with my friend, let my head get in the way of my heart for two months before daring him to kiss me again, And we have been together ever since. Well when I first met Rachel, I thought she was very pretty and then but she was also really loud and really opinionated and wouldn’t let me get my work done. But once I start to get to know her I realize that she is very funny and very sweet even if she was a pain in my butt all the time. We were friends for over a year before I started developing feelings for her. I didn’t realize it until I was out in Korea, but I missed her. When I came back to Okinawa she told me I close my eyes and kissed me and it was great but then she said that she didn’t want to ruin our friendship and she didn’t wanna date like a real butt. It made me upset and then two months went by. After that We still talked like friends and we would go out for drives. Then after one night out she dared me to kiss her again and I did and then we started dating. I knew I was going to propose to her about three months in but I don’t want to look like a crazy person proposing to her three months into a relationship. So I had to wait a whole year and I got her a really nice ring and I went through all the process of taking her to meet my family and meeting hers. I tricked her into thinking it was going to be in Okinawa so it was a complete surprise when she said yes on a frozen lake at sunset.
