Jessica and Armando’s love story began 11 years ago, when they first met in high school. What started as simply two strangers sitting next to each other in history class slowly blossomed into something neither of them could have expected. It wasn’t until their senior year, when they coincidentally had every class together and were once again seated side by side, that their friendship truly took root and began to flourish. Little did they know, those classroom seats would mark the beginning of a lifelong journey together. After graduating from high school, Armando and Jessica went off to different universities. Jessica went to UC Santa Barbara, while Armando went to UC Irvine. Despite the distance, they remained close, visiting each other on weekends and during breaks back home in Paramount. In 2016, they officially began their relationship. After five years of distance and growth, they both graduated and moved into their first apartment together. Living together brought new joys, deeper understanding, and even stronger love. Over the years, they’ve shared countless adventures: traveling, trying new foods, attending concerts, and supporting each other through every high and low. One of the greatest joys, they say, has been witnessing each other grow into the people they are today. On July 27, 2024, Armando surprised Jessica with a heartfelt proposal. Surrounded by their closest friends and family at a special dinner in their home with mariachi music, Armando led Jessica to a rose heart arch that read, “Will you marry me?” Jessica said, “Yes!” Now, after eight incredible years together, Jessica and Armando are preparing to celebrate their wedding this fall.
