Question

Is San Miguel de Allende Safe?

Answer

Yes, San Miguel de Allende is considered one of the safest travel destinations in Mexico! In fact, it’s often regarded as safer than some cities in the U.S. The town’s reputation for safety, along with its welcoming atmosphere, makes it an ideal destination for travelers. It’s a perfect spot for first-time visitors to Mexico, offering a gentle introduction to the culture with a sense of familiarity.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We absolutely adore our little ones, but unfortunately, we won't be able to accommodate children at our wedding due to limited space. We hope you understand, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving on October 9th to give yourself plenty of time to settle in before the first event on the 10th. With a 2-hour time difference, arriving a day early will help you adjust and ensure you're relaxed and ready for the celebration!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Guests will need a valid passport to travel, so please ensure yours is up to date well in advance of the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

At this time, we are only able to extend invitations to those listed on the invitation. Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Should the situation change, we will provide an update if we're able to welcome more people to our celebration. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Will credit/debit cards work there?

Answer

Yes, credit cards are accepted at most places. Before using, please verify that your credit card does not have foreign transactions fees to avoid any surprise fees. Also, let your bank know you will be traveling ahead of time. *Please note MOST places do not accept AMEX*

Question

Where can I get cash?

Answer

We recommend using ATMs for cash withdrawals as they tend to give good exchange rates. If cash is required, it is better to use MXN than USD (most places charge more to pay in USD.) You can also get MXN from your local bank before traveling.
