We first met at a Bible study held at our home church and I (Arlen) asked her out for our first date. After 13 months later we had our second first date. The rest is history!

On Saturday, March 29th, Arlen took me to Pioneer Park in Walla Walla for our weekly Bible study. Arlen had brought a present with us to the park bench, but I didn't ask him what it was. We sat down to do our Bible study and both stumbled our way through (now realizing Arlen was very nervous) until at the end, he gave me the gift. Inside was a picture of the two of us and a letter he wrote for me. At the end of the letter Arlen wrote "There is one thing I would like to change if you would allow..." to which he got down on one knee and proposed. I didn't see it coming and through the tears, I of course said yes!
