Welcome!

We met for the first time at our college orientation. At that time we hadn't spoken much. Neither of us knew what we would mean to each other. Fortunately, we became friends about a year after working the same college job. We got to learn more about each other and became best friends. Before we knew it, but not before everyone else did, we were a couple doing couple things. After a month or two of holding hands, cuddling, and hanging out without anyone else, Matt finally built up the courage to say "I like this thing we do" on November 13th, 2016.

Matt had suggested a romantic get-a-way just for the couple. Arleen, however, started having suspicions, the setting was right, surely after nearly 7 years together the time was right, right? However, each time Arleen shared her suspicions with her friends or family, she was met with doubts, "Are you sure?" "Has he dropped any hints?" "No way, he would've told me!" Matt did indeed tell them, and they all played their parts of lying to sweet Arleen, perhaps a bit too well. When 5/17/2024 came and Matt shakily asked Arleen to marry him, she was in such shock that Matt had to ask twice before hearing "Yes, of course!"
