Katie and Arjun's story

Katie and Arjun are college sweethearts - they met as freshmen and grew up together at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em!). While school was always the number one priority - they earned a combined five degrees over five years! - they also made the most of their time in Austin. Between Texas Football games (we’re back?), sunny days at Zilker Park, and late nights on 6th street, they built the foundation of their relationship in their collegetown. Before UT, Katie and Arjun started on opposite ends of the country. Katie grew up in Bernardsville, New Jersey, eating the world’s best bagels alongside her mom, dad, and two sisters. She moved to Keller with her family in 2011. Some say they threw a parade that summer because Dallas won the NBA Finals - it was actually because Katie moved into town. While in Keller, Katie spent time with family and friends - spending many nights making cookie dough, playing board games, and having chats with her mom and sisters. Arjun grew up in LA - moving around different neighborhoods before settling in Cerritos. While in LA, Arjun was involved in many activities (thanks Amma and Appa!). He did swim, ice skating, Karate (made it to Orange belt!), skateboarding, snowboarding, Boy Scouts, band, biking, and more. While he loved those activities, no activity made him happier than cheering for his Los Angeles Lakers. He watched them win back-to-back championships before entering a decade-long slump that Arjun refers to as “preparation for being a Texas fan”. Katie and Arjun have established their lives in Dallas. They started their careers in consulting; Katie is still in consulting while Arjun now works in sports trading card production. They also bought a townhouse in the State Thomas neighborhood of Uptown Dallas and are minutes away from their families and close friends. They are so thrilled to have their family, friends, and loved ones in town to celebrate their cultures and love for one another. Cheers to the bride and groom - they hope you dance the night (and morning) away in a weekend filled with love and joy!

For all the days along the way
