In October 2023, we met in Atlanta while standing in a wedding—our respective cousins’ wedding, to be exact. As members of the wedding party, we quite literally met at the altar (talk about setting the tone!). He asked when he could see me again at the reception, and I mentioned that I lived in Texas while he was in Alabama. Undeterred, he booked a flight just three days later. From that moment on, he visited every month—until he made the move to Texas in November 2024. We got engaged in March 2025, and now, here we are—forever grateful that one wedding led to our own.
