Sarah and Arizona both attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They met at UW Madison's Sci-Fi Club and have been friends ever since. Years of friendship, adventures, and being roommates led to Sarah and Arizona dating starting in December 2021. Sarah cross-stitched a bouquet for Arizona, in honor of their favorite video game, Stardew Valley, to commemorate the start of their new relationship. In April 2025, Arizona proposed to Sarah with an iridescent mermaid pendant (also from Stardew Valley). Sarah said yes and gave Arizona a beautiful amethyst and opal ring. Sarah and Arizona are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives together and would like to share their happiness with their friends and family.
