We’re getting married!

HIS SIDE: First time out since COVID, Bum Bum convinces me to go to this outdoor park Salsa night. My parents just got vaccinated so I though why not. It’s in Rancho. There is about 15 brothers and sisters. A lot of the usual suspects. Stay about an hour or so and then the cops show up. I guess that park was closed due to COVID. Right after the cops show up this blonde bombshell shows up. I ask her name. She quietly murmurs “Daisy”. The cops are trying to block as they keep forcing us to leave. About 10 minutes later we finally leave. I left without the number and I thought that was the end… HER SIDE: I just had a girl’s day with one of my best friends (Renata, now one of my bridesmaids). We had a really long, beach day and we were on our way home. Renata asks me if I wanted to stop by a gathering at a park, mind you, it was past my bedtime and I was ready to end my day. I really wanted to say no but long story short, we show up. I didn’t know anyone, so I stood there awkwardly waiting for Renata to say hi to everyone so we could leave. In the corner of my eye, I notice a tall, handsome brother that couldn’t keep his eyes off of me. He introduced himself to me, I introduced myself to him, and that was it. We probably exchanged about 3 words and we went our separate ways…

HER SIDE: So after meeting for the first time, we didn’t see each other again until a month later. Apparently he had been asking about me, and I had asked about him… So I think our friends ended up setting up a day for us to meet again. That was the first time we actually got to talk and he won me over with his charm by the end of that night. The next time we saw each other, I invited him over to a karaoke night at my house. I was nervous because I realized it was so soon to invite him over to my house, but at the same time it felt natural because I really liked him. I got dolled up in a fur coat and red lipstick,… He wore chanclas and gym shorts. But even then, I was already falling head over heels for him. I felt so comfortable around him and we got along so well. So a few months later, on October 27, 2021, he was already my best friend and he made me the happiest girl in the world by asking me to be his girlfriend. HIS SIDE: I may have asked about her once or twice to Bum Bum. He made arrangements for me to meet Daisy again. Except it was the wrong Daisy... It took a few more tries to find the right one but he finally came through! We went to dinner and dancing. I made sure to get the digits this time so I wouldn’t have any trouble seeing her again. A few short months later I asked her to date me. She said yes!

HIS SIDE: At the beach, duh. HER SIDE: There’s not much I can say other than I felt like I was in a dream and it could not have been more perfect. I had already known for a long time that John Maciel was the love of my life and I wanted to spend forever with him.
