How We Met (Arielle's Version) It was April 2020 and the pandemic was in full swing. We matched on Hinge and got to know each other through hours-long Facetime sessions, quarantined movie viewing parties, and Zoom Thai food dinner dates. After weeks of getting to know each other online, we decided to take things off-screen and meet in person. The rest is history! Our first date at an actual restaurant (Pylos, #iykyk) wasn't until months into our relationship! With the entire city shut down, we had A LOT of one-on-one time to get to know each other. Arielle taught Zack how to solve a Rubik's cube and Zack taught Arielle all the tricks for solving the NYT crossword puzzle. Arielle made countless batches of rice crispy treats and focaccia for Zack and Zack made Arielle chocolate chip muffins that were 90% chocolate. Arielle gave Zack several questionable quarantine haircuts and Zack introduced Arielle to Friday Night Lights and The West Wing. In the future, Arielle is looking forward to years of laughter and love, and Zack is looking forward to being a new plant dad to Arielle's 8 plants plus the other stuff Arielle said. How We Met (Zack's Version) (LIES) Zack was Arielle's parole officer following her brush with the law when she was captured trying to steal the Declaration of Independence. Zack was appointed to help represent her defense, and in the course of late nights prepping for cross-examination they began to form an attachment. Ultimately, despite a combination of witness tampering and pleads of insanity, Arielle was sentenced to 35 years in federal white-collar prison. Zack vowed that they would be together again, and so he built a replica scarecrow with Arielle's rough dimensions and smuggled it into the prison inside of a cake during a visit. Arielle paid a fellow inmate 4 cigarettes to distract the guards while they sprung Arielle free and left the scarecrow in her place. Zack and Arielle have been on the lam ever since, with Zack continuing his legal practice at Major League Baseball and Arielle teaching at an all-girls school to atone for her prior sins. And, while Arielle is still committed to a life of crime, she’s now much more interested in a Declaration of Co-dependence, which you can witness on May 17, 2025!
