Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Due to budget & space limitations, we have decided to have young adults & adults only at our wedding. This means we have created an age cut off of 10. If your kids are invited, they will be listed on your invitation by name. We realize this may impact your plans & we hope you will still be able to join us for this special day, but we're hoping our guests will have plenty of time to arrange for childcare. So please leave the little one's home & enjoy a night out on us!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to budget & space limitations, we are only able to accommodate the guests that are included on your invitation. Our goal is to keep our day as intimate as possible, therefore we ask that our guests please do not bring a plus one unless they are specifically listed on your invitation by name!

Question

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we do not hear from you by our July 30th RSVP deadline, you will unfortunately be marked as "not attending". The reason for this being that we need an accurate guest count to provide to our venue coordinator & vendors no later than 3 weeks prior to our wedding date. No guests can be added or removed once we have sent this information over.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

If you cannot attend our wedding, we hope you know you will be missed! We understand that unexpected events happen; all we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our headcount accordingly.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests dress formal. Dress pants & button up shirts for men & modest dresses for women!

Question

Are there any colors we should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride (i.e.- whites, ivories, & creams). All other colors are accepted & welcome!

Question

When should we arrive at the venue?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests arrive at the Barn at Raccoon Creek Venue at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time of 5:00 pm. This will ensure everyone has time to park, mingle, & get settled. If your presence is needed at an earlier time, or you are part of the wedding party, you will be notified directly!

Question

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be ample parking for up to 200 vehicles at the venue. Please note that all wedding events including the ceremony & reception will be held at the Barn at Raccoon Creek & no traveling to a secondary venue will be necessary.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! An open bar will be available for all guests from 5:30-10:30 pm, offering our selected beer, seltzers, & signature cocktails. A cash bar will be available for an addition hour from 10:30-11:30 pm. No outside alcohol or food is permitted at the venue. We ask that all guests choosing to partake drink responsibly & arrange for ride shares if needed.

Question

Can I take photos & videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones & cameras are put away & turned to silent/off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer/videographer to capture all the precious moments & we want all our guests to live in those moments with us, rather than behind a screen. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos & videos as you want!

Question

Will the ceremony & reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony & cocktail hour will be held outdoors. The reception dinner will then be served inside the barn, at which point the covered, outdoor dancefloor will be open to all guests looking to get their boogie on! We are hopeful for beautiful weather; however, if conditions do not permit an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour, the venue has a covered alternative on site to ensure everyone's comfort & safety.

Question

Where can I find a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence is the only gift we truly need; however, we understand that many of you may want to give us a gift to commemorate the occasion. For those interested, you can find our registry right here on our website. Please note that we are mostly asking for cash funds to put toward our honeymoon, first home, & the wedding! Additionally, we will have a designated place for cards at the reception. Please know that this is completely optional.
