Kimo will tell you when he first started working at Brassfield's, Arielle was the last person to have talked to him. Which is pretty accurate. Although being well aware of how to, Kimo asked Arielle to "help" him fix the printer at the front desk, which she did (incorrectly). Their first conversation went a little something like this, "Hey, uh. Can you help me fix the printer?" And she replied, "Uhhh, sure." Not as romantic as you'd think, but it opened up a door to engage in conversation. They talked about their favorite common interests, meaning music and Mexican food. After a few weeks, Kimo took a major shot in the dark and invited Arielle to go out to Seattle with him and a few friends. Kimo anticipated the night would be a date. Yet, Arielle was just going to have a good time. Based off of the information Kimo gave, Arielle was expecting more friends to be there but instead it ended up being just Kimo, Arielle, and another couple. Kimo thought for sure this was a date and Arielle was definitely weirded out to be picked up and driven to another town with three complete strangers. It didn't take long for comfortability to kick in and the two danced the night away. As the evening came to a close, Kimo dropped Arielle off at her car and got the "best" side hug he's ever received. It was that moment that Kimo thought, "Yup. I'm definitely friend zoned." Throughout the next few weeks, communication increased. Texts turned to calls, calls turned to FaceTime. Kimo continued to pursue Arielle and after several attempts of trying to get her to go on a date with him, she finally said yes. Dates became a weekly thing as the two grew closer. On their 5th date, Kimo took Arielle to The Matador. After dinner they took a spontaneous walk through Downtown Tacoma and ended up on the bridge of the glass museum where they would share their first kiss.
Kimo had told Arielle their friend had reached out to him and asked if we could help build his profolio with videography, Arielle thought it would be so fun to have a "cute" video of them together and of course she would love to help. That Saturday before they were to meet for the session, Arielle sent a picture of a ring to Kimo expressing how perfect the ring was and no, it was nothing like the ring Kimo already had in his pocket. Kimo admired the ring and told her it wasn't their time yet but one day. The day of the session, Kimo FaceTimed to coordinate an outfit with what she was wearing, He then picked her up from work and they headed to the location for the video. They found the videographer and the photographer were already there with their close friends who were also "helping" with a video, Arielle mentioned how fun of a location since it was the same place Arielle and Kimo shared their first kiss. What a coincident... they started talking pictures and videos, not long after they started, the videographer had Kimo grab Arielle's hand and talk to her, this was for "footage." Arielle noticed how nervous Kimo seemed, but figured it was because she knows how uncomfortable PDA makes Kimo. Kimo laughed and pointed behind Arielle, asking whats that? Arielle turns around to see their parents, siblings, and their closest friends. She turns back around to see Kimo on his knee asking to spend forever together. Completely in shock, that all this was specifically planned, she said "yes." Not once did Arielle see this coming, Kimo even figured out a way to make sure her nails were freshly done. Arielle likes things simple, while Kimo likes to have over the top, he managed to pull off a simply over the proposal.
