Another great park option if thrill rides are more your speed. We love going to Universal and riding all of the rides! The rides and atmosphere at Universal are geared towards older kids. We have found there isn't much to do for little ones. City Walk has great restaurants and shopping, and you don't need a park ticket to get into CityWalk.
Make sure to check out package deals for tickets, as well as sales on tickets. They usually run a black Friday shopping deal. It can be a great park for younger kids that's a little more relaxed than a day at Disney.
We have enjoyed going to Legoland. Great park option if you have little ones, as there is plenty of room for them to run around. The rides are catered to younger children as well as older kids. This park is a good distance from the venue and Orlando, but worth the trip if you're okay with the travel.
Great way to spend some time with the kids, while also being protected from the Florida elements. Lots of activities for kids of all ages. There are great restaurants around this area, and other fun parks to explore. This is in the heart of Orlando, so it is an activity that would require driving.
This is the closest outlet mall.
This is our version of Tysons Corner.
Close to our house in Clermont, this is a great place to shop at a specialty store or get food and drinks. The West Orange Trail runs through the center of town. Perfect for biking or walking.
Great upscale dining and shopping destination.
Lots of fun areas in downtown Orlando for drinking, eating and shopping. downtownorlando.com breaks down the main areas.
