We first met on September 19, 2019, at Bella Fest—a church event filled with booths, music, and (apparently) the start of something special. I was running a booth, and he was walking around selling bolis. He came up to me asking if I had seen our mutual friend—that was our very first conversation. I didn’t know who he was at all, but he had seen me before and was looking for a reason to talk to me. To be honest, I just thought he was nice. He, on the other hand, thought I was really pretty and decided to shoot his shot. And we’re glad he did. Fast forward a few months to December 7, 2019—that’s when we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. He had just come back from a trip to Cancún and gave me a bracelet he’d picked out for me. That same day, we went to the movies… and I lost the bracelet. I felt so bad I ended up crying (it was his first gift to me!). But little did I know, when we got back to the car, he had the trunk all set up to ask me to be his girlfriend. And despite the bracelet drama, I said yes. 💛 We dated through COVID, which meant seeing each other once a week felt like forever. But those days only made us stronger. Since then, we’ve shared so much—traveling with our families, supporting each other through college graduations, and growing side by side. In April 2021, we brought home our first baby: our sweet pup Ollie, who’s been with us through it all. This December will mark six years together. It’s been a beautiful journey, and we can’t wait to start this next chapter with all of you there to witness it.
