What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

You should plan to arrive at 4:30pm to have plenty of time to park and be seated. The ceremony will begin shortly after.

Will there be open bar?

Answer

Yes!

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

No problem! You can just tell your waiter the night of and they will have an alternate dish made to order based on your allergy.

I RSVP'd yes, but now I can't make it. What do I do?

Answer

You can change your response on the RSVP tab here on the website. However, if you need to change your RSVP after July 10th, please txt Arielle at (845) - 926 - 7581.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Kindly, no. We have our super talented photographer and videographer, Alisa and James, capturing all of those precious moments and we would really love to see you and your faces (not your phones) during the ceremony. We will absolutely share these photos with you once we have them back. Feel free to take as many photos of the cocktail hour and reception as you'd like. And if you post online, please use our hashtag #CheersIdo so we can see them too!

What should I wear?

Answer

We are planning on a semi-formal or cocktail attire. For ladies that may mean a cocktail dress, dressy suit, or jumpsuit. For men that may mean a suit and tie or button up and slacks. Whatever gets you on the dance floor! It is an August wedding which is why we chose a location with air conditioning!

Can I bring a guest?

We were able to accommodate a guest for most adult guests. When you RSVP on the website you will see a place for your guest's name. Please include that information when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly to include you both!

Where should I park?

Answer

Park at The Grandview. There is complimentary valet parking!

Where should I stay? Is there transportation from the hotel?

Answer

We have rooms blocked at The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Please see our Hotel/Parking page for all of the details. There is a discount code (SHCH)! You can call or book online, but be sure to use the discount code to save $$. There is transportation from The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. It begins promptly at 4:30pm until the ceremony beings at 5:00pm. Then the trolly begins again at the end of the reception to bring you back to the hotel. It is a very short ride, only 5 min!

Question

What if I'm traveling from out of state? Where should I fly into?

Answer

The Grandview is only a 30min drive from our hometown in Newburgh. Your best option is to travel here how you normally would. If you plan to travel by train, the Poughkeepsie train station is only a 10 minute drive from our hotel and venue. Amtrak and Metro North stop at the Poughkeepsie Station.
