What is a Mehndi?
Answer
A Mehndi is a lively pre-wedding event in Pakistani culture! There will be fun entrances, choreographed dances from the wedding party (everyone will try their best) and more dancing. Arielle, Baber, and their wedding party will be dressed in traditional Pakistani clothing, and you are welcome to do the same. It will be a memorable way to kick off an amazing weekend!

Should I Eat Before the Mehndi (Welcome Party) on Friday?
Answer
We will have heavy apps, but still recommend eating something before. And there will be an open bar...so we definitely recommend eating before ;)

What Do I Wear to the Mehndi?
Answer
Traditional Pakistani clothing is optional and Western attire works just as well! If you are not wearing Pakistani clothing then the dress code is casual cocktail. For the men, please wear slacks and a button down/dress shirt. For the ladies, midi dresses, maxi dresses or jumpsuits all work! If you would like to wear Pakistani clothing, you can visit the below websites to find an outfit. For women, we recommend you shop for lehengas. For men, we recommend you shop for kurtas or sherwanis. If you live in Georgia, Global Mall in Norcross has several stores if you would like to shop in person. If you live in the New York/New Jersey area, there is a huge selection of stores in Edison, NJ on Oak Tree Road. If you live in Los Angeles, there are several stores in Cerritos. Please text Arielle and Baber with any questions. *NOTE: If you are ordering online, orders can potentially take a long time to be delivered as they are shipped from India. What is cocktail attire?

For the ladies, please wear a floor-length, knee-length, tea-length or midi look of your choice. For the men, please wear a suit and tie.

Are Ubers readily available from Cielo Farms?
Answer
It is extremely difficult to get Ubers home from Cielo Farms. We highly recommend taking the shuttle with us, which will leave the venue shortly after 10pm.
