We met as fifth graders at St. Christopher School, and we couldn't be more different. I was the bookworm, and Thomas was the class jester. We grew apart after graduating into high school. We never thought our paths would cross again! Then seemingly out of thin air, Thomas reached out to reconnect online. We talked for hours every day, even though a thousand miles separated us. When Thomas took leave to visit home, I knew we had to see each other. On our first date, we promised to "just wing it", and we've never looked back. Five years later and we're still figuring life out together as we go.
I had been anxiously awaiting this day for what felt like forever. Ariel and I had planned a vacation to Asheville, NC. My plan was nearly derailed when the weather forecasted two feet of snow on our big day! Fortunately, we were able to leave for Asheville a day early. We went to the Biltmore Estate to take a tour of the mansion, or so she thought. Ariel's hands were so cold that she wouldn't let go of my hand. How was I supposed to get the ring out my pocket?! Finally she turned to take a picture of the scenery, and I got on one knee to ask her to be my forever. We can't wait to start this next chapter of our life together. We're excited to celebrate with you in CT!
