The ceremony is meant to celebrate the core meaning of marriage through a variety of rituals, symbolisms, and prayers. It is a heavily scripture based service. Service of Betrothal, or Engagement The rings are exchanged, and the priest blesses the rings, recites blessings and Bible passages, and makes the sign of the cross Crowning (Service of Marriage) The couple are given crowns of marriage, prayers are offered for them, the common cup is shared, and the couple takes a ceremonial walk around the table.
Clothing: Dresses, button ups, whatever you like to wear to a nice event. Shoes: I would suggest comfortable shoes as you may need to stand at the service due to limited seating.
For the wedding, I don't mind photos being taken, but please make sure the flash is off and ringer is turned off. This is a time of reverence and celebration of marriage in front of God. For reception, please take photos! Take lots of them and make sure to send them or if you are posting them on social media, use the tag #belkeverlasting . Please refrain from posting photos until the wedding is over.
It should last between an hour to an hour and half.
There will be seating available, but there may be instances where you will need to stand. Please look at the shoes recommended.
