Where is the wedding venue?

The wedding and reception will both be held at Blackberry Hall, McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR (https://www.mcmenamins.com/edgefield).

What's the parking situation?

Edgefield has free parking available on the grounds.

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever you are comfortable in. This is not a tuxes and tails sort of event, so don't stress over super formal wear. Want to show off your favorite dress? Go for it! Been dying to wear a costume somewhere? Do it! Don't feel like dressing up and would rather wear jeans? Sounds great!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Of course! Kids are welcome. Please make sure to include them in your RSVP so we have an accurate count for chairs and tables needed for setup.

What if I have food restrictions?

Answer

Edgefield will be handling the catering. There will be no shellfish on the menu. There will be vegetarian and meat options available. There will also be a variety of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks available.

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

NO! Please do not bring gifts. We do not want to have to pack and ship anything back to Germany when we go home, so we would prefer not to receive gifts. If you absolutely feel the need to provide a wedding gift, we have set up a cash registry to help with some of the costs for airfare, the wedding itself, and setting up our new life in Germany.
