In the year 2000, Evelyn was highly encouraged by her friends to join her schools' soccer team. Evelyn had no clue how to play the sport, her friends told her "don't worry, just kick the ball that way and you will be okay". Once the school bell rang, she decided to give it a try and walked into classroom 55 for an afterschool meeting regarding the soccer team sign-ups. Upon entering the room, Ariel noticed her and thought to himself "ooh she is going to be mine". Ariel became Evelyn's friend, he helped show her the ins and outs of the sport. Soccer brought them together and they would later become the best of friends. On March 23, 2002, Ariel asked Evelyn to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!

On March 23, 2019, Ariel and Evelyn drove to Redondo Beach California to celebrate their 17-year-old Anniversary as a couple. They entered the El Torito restaurant, ordered 2 shots of tequila, a Negro Modelo, and a Margarita. Before getting to their drinks, Ariel asks Evelyn to step outside of the restaurant for a brief moment. Ariel walks Evelyn to a small walkway overlooking the ocean and boardwalk. He tells Evelyn, "let's take a picture". Evelyn adjusts her phone to take a selfie, upon clicking her phone to take the picture, she notices a Ring in a box that Ariel is holding over her shoulder. Evelyn in shock turns around and Ariel kneels down on one knee and asks her "will you marry me"? Evelyn is in utter surprise and ridiculously replies, "Is that how you are going to do it"? Ariel then replies, "Pues casate conmigo cabrona"! Evelyn replies with "yes"! Laughter and tears of joy followed along with a loving embrace.
