I (Ariel) was a single mom, working my food trailer and working a temporary position job at SD Myers in Tallmadge Ohio, my family's business. I was doing shipping and receiving there as the temporary part, covering for someone who was out for a surgery. When that employee returned to work, luckily they liked me so much, that they asked me to stay....otherwise, I would have never gotten put onto helping with a concrete job there at work. Guess who was in the concrete industry at the time!!? I had been helping on this project for weeks. We had to wear big white tyvek safety suits, giant yellow electrically safe safety boots, safety glasses and ear plugs. One morning I walk in and saw a person wearing the white tyvek suit and a long ponytail down their back and I thought the contractors had another girl in to help for the day. I remember thinking how "I am the only girl working over here" hahaha When the person turned around and I saw Dylan for the first time, I had heart eyes popping out of my head! It was an instant crush!! We worked side by side for a few days and I felt like I had a major crush on him but the work was so loud, I couldn't spark up any conversation with him. The contractors would be rotated out and Dylan got sent out of town for other jobs and I didn't see him for a few weeks. I eventually asked one of the workers when Dylan would return (total blushing moment, asking about a boy, uhg!) the worker called Dylan and told him he needed to ask this girl out, when he got back into town. I was so embarrassed! Buuut, the next time he was in town, he came to work at SD Myers again and asked for my number after work. We went on our first date in December of 2018 and now here we are!!! Life is a journey and I couldn't be more excited that Dylan became a part of mine and Ellie's lives! We truly are so lucky.
