I’On is a charming neighborhood in Mount Pleasant. It has streets set along canals, almost like a Lowcountry Venice. Enjoy shops, restaurants, and wine bars as well as scenic trails. Get the Bride's special: Fish n' Chips and a Guinness from O'Brians Pub! Park at I’On Square (130 Civitas Street) and walk from there.
Sullivan's Island Beach has great views of the Ravenel and Fort Sumter, but there is no swimming allowed due to the strong current. There are many access points to choose from. Station 27 is more popular. Station 18 1/2 has the best views of the Sullivan's Isalnd Lighthhouse! Park along 18 1/2 street and Ion Ave.
Cool spot for history lovers or anyone wanting time by the water. Tour the historic aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, walk through naval ships and catch great views of the harbor.
