Travel Note
We're not gonna lie, hotels in San Francisco and Mill Valley are expensive! We recommend looking into Airbnb (https://www.airbnb.com/) and VRBO (https://www.vrbo.com/) for apartment/home rentals as those can be much cheaper, especially if you share among some friends (it's also more fun that way). If you are interested in staying in a hotel in Mill Valley we have suggested a couple below that are a short drive from the wedding venue. If you want to experience SF city life, we recommend that you look for places to stay in the Marina neighborhood, as that will put you a short drive from the wedding venue.
Travel Note
It is quite easy to get around San Francisco via public transportation. You can take the BART train directly from the airport into the city center. The SF metro website has more information about routes and trip planning (https://www.sfmta.com/) Unfortunately it is not as easy to get to the wedding venue via public transportation. We recommend sharing an Uber or Lyft. A Lyft from downtown SF to Mill Valley should cost around $30 (and will take you over the Golden Gate bridge!)
