We went to high school together and were friends of friends, and never anything more. Then years later at the Engelhardt's Corjul summer ranch party, we had a very fun weekend with all of our friends. Needless to say we have been inseparable ever since.
Andrew and Hayes were coming down to visit me in San Marcos for my birthday weekend. Andrew had a sweet dinner date planned for the three of us at my favorite restaurant, The Gruene River Grill. Upon arriving, I could tell something was fishy because Andrew was very impatient and eager to get our food and check quickly. I was expecting to get a birthday dessert of some sort before we left. Little did I know, Andrew had bigger things in mind. As we were leaving Andrew tells me that he needs to change Hayes before we get on the road, because he was still in diapers at the time. So I said, okay I can take him to the bathroom, let's go. He told me no, to wait here. I was a little irritated when he told me to stay there and not go with them. When I saw them again, I noticed Hayes was wearing something different than what he came in. He was wearing the cutest little shirt that said "Will You Marry Daddy?", and I couldn't believe what was about to happen. Andrew got down on his knee, with Hayes between us holding the box or "egg" that had the ring inside, and asked me to marry him. I cried and cried and eagerly said YES to the man of my dreams.
