How we met

First comes the horse, Aslan, who would bring us together

We first met in Franklin, Tennessee on December 18, 2017 when we met me at the barn I had my horse, Aslan, at. It was our very first appointment for him to work on Aslan's feet.Truly Aslan is the reason we came together. If it were not for Aslan coming into my life, I don't think Brad and I would have ever connected. We had spoken online on Facebook messenger a few times before I moved out to Tennessee just about places that are nice in the area and about his availability to take on me and Aslan as a client, but I had no idea the absolute fairy tale that would be in store for me. I'll never forget the day we first met when he pulled up the driveway in his truck as I stood at the end of the long driveway haltering Aslan. I walked ahead of his truck walking Aslan up to the barn and he followed behind in his truck. I began to find a place to tie Aslan in the barn and situate him and out comes Brad from his truck. I looked up at him and my heart dropped and I extended my arm out and said "It's nice to finally meet you." He was the most stunning man I have ever seen, and I felt like I'd known him my whole life. Time stood still. It was a feeling I have never experienced before. He worked on Aslan and the time went by way too fast. As he drove off, I stood there stunned and said to myself aloud, "Oh my God." After that day, all I could think about was him. I knew this was something bigger than me, bigger than us. I knew I had to be in this man's life, but he wasn't looking for a relationship and was truly very busy. I dropped hints and tried to get him to open up, but he kindly told me he's very busy and remained professional only. But my intuition was screaming at me, and for what felt like eternity, I remained persistent. I even offered to help him pick up horse poop and do barn chores with him. Turns out he had the same intuition that day we met and didn't know what to make of it. He finally asked me out on a date. It was the best date, best night of my life.
