Aric and Mandy connected as your typical modern day couple...through Facebook. During their senior year of high school, Aric attempted to befriend Mandy on Facebook, but she was skeptical – Who is this guy? Unsure, she sent the first message. It dawned on her that the two of them went even further back – sharing the same 6th Grade World Cultures Class at Park Crest Middle School. *Friend Accepted!* After countless text messages, we had our first date on October 10, 2009 at Lake Pflugerville and hit it off! We have been together for over a decade, and it’s been truly amazing to experience us grow both together and individually. Aric worked his way up to become a Deputy at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, while Mandy pursued a dream job at a creative agency called Consumable Content, where she works in food/beverage/hospitality photography and social media. In 2018, we took the next step by living together in our Leander apartment. We then added to the mix and brought onboard our sweet Golden Retriever pup Wrigley. (Talk about all hands on deck!) We’ve shared so many special memories together like traveling (Maui, Hawaii, our greatest adventure so far), attending Texas Stars hockey games, playing video games (think: old school Nintendo 64), and watching either feel-good Disney movies or rewatching the action-packed series Breaking Bad. In January 2020, Aric finally popped the question while we were out in Driftwood, Texas for a getaway weekend. He proposed after we had a fun day of exploring the town, cooking a nice meal at our Airbnb, and playing board games – all the things we've also enjoyed doing over the last decade. Several months after we got engaged, we took another big step: we purchased our first home together in Round Rock. And now we look forward to celebrating this next chapter in our lives with you!
