Like many millennials these days, we both swiped right on each other on a dating app called Bumble. After a short period of talking, we went out for our first date at Big Ditch Brewing Company in Buffalo for some grub and to watch the Sabres game. Unfortunately (or fortunately), they wouldn't put the game on so after a couple hours of chatting and laughing and finding out that Arica can eat, we knew a 2nd date was on the horizon.
On a typical yucky Buffalo December day, Chris told Arica they were going to a pop-up Christmas market at the history museum with his brother Mike & brother's girlfriend Veronica. Upon arrival, Arica noticed there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. Before going inside, Chris wanted to "take a walk" first. Heading down the steps behind the history museum toward Hoyt lake, Chris popped the question! It was such a meaningful spot because Chris & Arica took many walks around there and saw the cherry blossoms there each year. Afterward, Chris had set up a celebratory get together with the families at Big Ditch Brewing, which was a perfect spot since it was our first date.
