Ari and Michael first met in 2017 at UCLA, when he began delivering to Ari's place of work. From the moment they locked eyes, he knew that she would be the perfect girl to bring home to mom. Ari could tell that Michael liked her, especially on the few occasions where she received gifts from him, like a Christmas card or an AMC gift card simply because "her smile was a gift to him". About 1 year after, Ari changed shifts at work and, aside from a text in 2019 telling him she would be graduating that weekend, they didn't hear from each other for 3 years. Neither of them knew it at the time but that seemingly random 2019 text would end up being the reason they are together today because it let Michael know that she liked him enough to remember him, keep his number, and restart conversations. And the reason she remembered him was because of the little things he did for her, like going to the store to buy her a Christmas card and giving her hand written notes. So, when they both finally became available in 2021, they went on a romantic date above the LA skyline, and the rest is history. Four years after they first met they became a couple, and after another four years they're getting married. A love story 8 years in the making.
