Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Arianna Stasinoulias and Bryan Douglas
We know that so many of you are visiting from afar! There is much to do in this beautiful city we call home. Whether you are driving, walking, biking, calling a ride share service, or taking the bus, Milwaukee has some great things along the way. Everything is relatively accessible and nearby! We know that you'll love our city!

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Located at the front of Historic Third Ward, the Public Market is a classic pit stop to stroll around, shop, and people watch. Snacks, drinks, meals, you name it, they got it. On The Bus has the best vegan shakes and handhelds, or stop by St. Paul's Fish Market for a dozen oysters.

Milwaukee Art Museum

700 North Art Museum Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

One of Arianna's favorite places to visit in the city. The MAM is filled with art from various periods of time, famous artists, up and coming artists, and incredible architecture. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, The Quadracci Pavilion is a sculpture in itself and plays host to the entrance of the museum. Catch it unfold and fold on a calm weathered day.

Harley-Davidson Museum

400 West Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53201

Do you hear the rumble? Learn about the role motorcycles have played throughout history, and admire the beautiful curation of all things Harley. Even if you don't dream of riding hogs through the Menomonee River Valley, this Museum is sure to impress.

Discovery World

500 North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

This science and technology museum is situated next to the beautiful Lakefront State Park, and the Henry Maier Festival Park - the home of Summerfest. The museum is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of STEM majors through curiosity and creativity.

Lakeshore State Park

500 North Harbor Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Arianna and Bryan love to ride their bikes through this little oasis between the lake and the city. Located right behind the Henry Maier Festival grounds, you may catch a glimpse of one of the many festivals through the fence cracks.

Seven Bridges Trail

Seven Bridges Trail, South Milwaukee, WI 53172

As you wind your way through the ravine on unpaved and lannon stone paths, lannon stone staircases, and numerous foot bridges, you'll discover the delights of nature – a carpet of spring wildflowers, the songs of migratory birds, fabulous fall color, the refreshing sound of water rushing in a brook. Following the trails, you'll be led among enormous trees such as the native beech, along creeks, into secluded areas, and onto the shore of Lake Michigan. Let us know if the scenery looks familiar! Please exercise caution on the trail—especially after heavy rainfall!

The Vanguard

2659 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207

Great sausage house in Bay View! Deserves its own highlight because it's our go-to spot for a quick bite. They make their own sausages and even have excellent vegetarian and vegan options available! Beware: not for the faint of heart if you don't enjoy loud heavy metal music or watching old wrestling clips while eating.

Restaurants

Crafty Cow - Awarded Best Fried Chicken Sandwich in MKE, Crafty Cow is the spot to relieve your sandwich or burger craving. They also offer excellent vegan/vegetarian alternatives. This is where you want to go to fuel up for a night full of dancing. Odd Duck - Go here for a delectable date night treat. Elevated, gorgeously presented small plates. Allie Boys - Get your brunch bagel fix here. Delicious sandwiches, Matzo ball soup, and unique specials. Beerline Cafe - Brunch and lunch spot for vegan/vegetarian eats. Goodkind - located in our neighborhood, Goodkind offers excellent cocktails, cozy dining, and delicious meals. Three Brothers - Step into old world Europe with this classic Serbian spot. Burek, moussaka, and Serbian salad. Their menu is small because they are experts at what they do. Make a reservation and bring cash.

Coffee

Vendetta Coffee Bar - This Italian-style coffee bar is one of Arianna's favorite quick stops for an energy boost. In addition to traditional beverages, they offer cocktails, snacks, and pastries. Ask for their Standing Espresso for a quick $1 espresso shot at the bar. Discourse - The laboratory of cafes. They are always putting out impressive experimental drinks and mixing ingredients you might turn your nose up at normally. An adventurer's delight. Interval - This corner cafe is a center of calm. Lovely minimalistic decor. Delicious beverages and warm staff. La Finca Coffeehouse - A short drive south of Milwaukee into St. Francis you can find this Latin inspired coffee shop with beverages that take on the owner's Mexican heritage. Their Horchata latte is dreamy. Hawthorn Coffee Roasters - Bryan's go-to for beans. Near the airport, you can pop into Hawthorn to try some beans for yourself. Colectivo Coffee - With various locations all over the city, Colectivo is a classic coffee shop.

Breweries

Brew City! Amorphic - dare we say the best beer in the city? Located in an industrial area of the Riverwest neighborhood, Amorphic is an instant favorite. Bryan and Arianna often come here with friends for Bingo/Trivia Thursdays. Venture through the taproom and brewing hall to the back patio and stage to marvel at their kitschy vintage decor. Dog-friendly. Just don't park in their parking lot if you don't want a flat. Indeed Brewing - Indeed is our tried and true. From their cozy, beautiful interior, to varying beer selection, this is an easy and often pitstop. Third Space Brewery - Another favorite. Happy Place IPA is always in our beer fridge. There's something for everyone here. 1840 Brewery - A Bay View pitstop. Also dog-friendly, yummy beer, kind people. Lakefront Brewery - One of the best brewery tours in the city - a worthwhile experience. A little comedy, trivia, tastings, and a souvenir. Pair your tastings with their fried cheese curds for a true Wisconsin meal.

Shopping

URSA - boutique with curated goods, fragrances, eco-friendly products, and accessories 2534 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 Clocktower Antiques - located in a three-story building with additional vintage shops, is one of Arianna's favorite thrift spots—eclectic keepsakes, great vinyl, colored glass, and all relatively well-priced. P.S. it's right next to our venue. 1134 S 1st St, Milwaukee, WI 53204 ModGen - aka the modern general store. Stop here after the Milwaukee Public Market while you are strolling around The Third Ward. Pick up a Wisconsin souvenir, a new kitchen gadget, or your next plant child here. You can even get it potted in the store!
