We're Getting Married!

Lucas and Arianna agreed to meet up at Friendly's on Saturday, March 31, 2018. They had been chatting back and forth getting to know each other after matching on tinder in early March. Arianna was nervous to meet up with him at first, so she suggested a public location. Once they got a table and ordered, they quickly began to realize that their love of ice cream wasn't the only similarity they shared. The more they shared about each other, the more they realized just how much they had in common. From vacationing with their families in Maine every year, to their love of the outdoors, to favorite music genres. Everything was so in sync. It took one date for ice cream to realize just how sweet this could turn out.

In less than a month they knew that this was everything that they dreamt of and then some. The more time that passed, the more they knew that this was something real. Love at first sight. A soulmate. On Saturday, April 21, 2018, the day after Lucas' 20th Birthday, Arianna and Lucas had gone on a date for, you guessed it, ice cream! They went to Whittemore Ice Cream in Seymour, CT where Arianna told Lucas that she was ready to make their relationship official. So, Lucas asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes. As he likes to put it, he got everything that he wanted for his Birthday that year!

Arianna and Lucas had gone on a vacation to one of their favorite places, Old Orchard Beach in Maine. They brought two of their closest friends, Becca and Nate, and showed them all around Old Orchard and all of the things that have become a tradition for them. They made plans for dinner at Huot's Seafood Restaurant in Saco, Maine. Lucas went inside to make a reservation and came back out saying that it would be at least a half hour wait. So, Arianna, Lucas, Becca, and Nate decided to take a walk over by the seawall. Arianna sat on a rock and before she knew it Lucas was down on one knee and Becca was taking photos! Arianna was so overwhelmed with excitement that she said "okay!" when Lucas asked to marry her. Once we made it back to Huot's for our table, Lucas had one more surprise in store. Arianna's dad and nana were inside waiting to congratulate her!
