We have set a soft deadline of April 30th of 2022 for RSVPs. The earlier the better!
Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy. We never expected this virus to still be a concern when our wedding date came around, but unfortunately it is still present. We will be following any mandates for Franklin county and will observe CDC guidelines on protecting ourselves and others: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html *Updated 03/23/2022 Currently, mask mandates are lifted, and masks will be optional throughout our events. We will also plan to pretreat surfaces where possible and provide hand sanitizer near heavier traffic points. If a guest feels unwell, they are encouraged to test prior to attending.
The ceremony starts at 3pm EDT, so please leave enough time so that you may arrive as early as is least stress-inducing for your family and be near your seat(s) by 2:55pm. I would suggest earlier is better than later, with the earliest arrival time being 2pm.
As the descriptions state, we are asking people to wear semi-formal attire. We used the standard definition provided, however we would like to stress that jackets are NOT required. Please feel free to err on the side of comfort. We want our guests to enjoy their time with us! We do want to set the line somewhere and would appreciate clean, dress jeans and no t-shirts.
We did our best to include all kids that we believe should be attending with each respective family. Given this level of consideration, if there is a name missing from your invitation, please let us know and we will see about getting them added to the guest list if possible.
Unfortunately, guest space is limited, and as such we opted to be kid friendly rather than date friendly. If you have a "guest" on your invite, we decided to grant you the ability to have a +1. This may seem unfair to grant some but not all this option; however, these +1's were hand-selected and considered based on age and level of comfort. If you feel strongly about having a +1, please reach out to us directly and we can discuss our decision with you.
Yes - we will be asking everyone to please silence their phones and keep them out of hand throughout the spoken portion of the ceremony. We want everyone to be present and experience our ceremony along with us! There will be plenty of time for pictures following the ceremony and throughout the reception as well. If you wish to get pictures of the space while it is setup for the ceremony, we encourage you to show up earlier so you can get some pictures beforehand. We would appreciate that any pictures taken during our events are held off on being posted on any social media until the event is over for the safety of all attending. Please also use best judgement on any posts to be made so as to share "tasteful" memories of the event. We would love to see our guests having a great time in 'PG-13' rated posts!
Parking IS available in front of the boathouse! There are approximately 40 spots available, so if families could carpool where possible, that would greatly reduce the chance of running out of spaces for everyone.
Due to the nature of our food catering being buffet style, we have some options for our guests to choose! If you would like a menu of options in advance, please contact us directly so I can get that to you. If you need special accommodations, we will certainly do our best to get you an alternative meal just as good as everyone else's that meets your restrictions.
We are using the registry through Zola.com, however if you find an item that you think would be perfect, feel free to branch out! All gifts are appreciated.
I have this Google Maps url that can be used to search the area around the venue and the Columbus area for hotels. The filters can also be adjusted to suit any individual's needs! https://www.google.com/maps/search/Hotels/@40.023917,-83.1956795,11z/data=!4m20!2m19!3m6!1sHotels!2sDuranceaux+Park,+Thoburn+Rd,+Columbus,+OH+43221!3s0x8838921e2442efaf:0xd6ebff6a12bfc2fc!4m2!1d-83.0971972!2d40.0223624!5m10!3e2!3e3!3e4!5m4!1s2022-05-13!2i2!4m1!1i4!9i200!10e4!6e3
Unfortunately no. Though we understand and appreciate the vast distances some of you have to travel, we simply do not have a good solution for transporting people to our venue. We hope that you are patient with us and can make the trip to our ceremony!
