As we approached graduation, we started talking about what was next for us. There was no doubt for either of us that our next step would be taken together. So, with Ari starting grad school at the University of Minnesota, and Josh landing a job as a tax accountant in the Cities, the timing was right to move forward in a big way. Josh had a few ideas in mind for proposing but wanted to make sure he could surprise Ari. When she asked to visit Minnehaha Falls to hike, he knew he had his opportunity. Ari’s twin brother, Andre, had asked a few months earlier to take some "couples pictures" for his portfolio, so it was easy to ask him to join -- a clever plan to have a photographer there to capture the big event. After hiking around the park and taking pictures with some close friends, Josh led us up to an overlook of the frozen falls, where he proposed!
