We’re getting married!

We first met our first week of college at a house party in Tempe, AZ. We both caught each others eye, got to talking, and exchanged snapchats. (Yep, I know. So Gen-Z.)

While we met beginning of September, we didn’t go on a first date until November. We went to Culinary Dropout, a very popular restaurant to AZ locals. It was a long awaited first date, so we were super nervous but had the best time! From there, we realized we wanted to be exclusive. :)

The day we got back from thanksgiving break, we were doing Joel’s laundry when he stopped me and asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend! It was so perfect & completely in the moment. :)

We both knew we wanted to get a dog together and it was just a matter of when. The opportunity fell right in our laps and we couldn’t pass it up. Cora has become our literal baby and yes, we are that couple that considers their dogs their children.

The most magical day. We were in the Bay Area for the weekend & Joel took me on a surprise date in Sausalito, CA. We first went to lunch overlooking the water. I knew something was up by the way Joel was acting so I had a tiiinnyyy feeling of what was going to be happening, I just didn’t know when and where. After lunch, he took us to Kirby cove and made us walk on the side of the hill instead of the trail, but I thought he knew was he was doing so I just went with it. (He, in fact, did not know what he was doing) but it didn’t matter because once we got to the beach, he asked me to marry him and it was truly the most perfect moment of my life. He then surprised me with some of our closest family and friends watching! It was truly magical. :)
