The first day of 6th grade we were sitting in band class and right before the bell rang I (Arianna) went to Asha and introduced myself. She instantly thought I was weird but talked to me anyways. This is where we started our life long friendship.
Our senior year of high school we finally admitted to each other that we had feelings for each other as more than friends. One afternoon during band practice Asha convinced another brass member to switch spots with her during the ballad of our show so she could be the center of the heart. She convinced the entire band to ask me to go out with her. When she got to the center of the heart she asked me herself. I said "No." A couple weeks later we were in the car driving to church she asked again and I finally said yes. I was playing hard to get.
After being together for four and a half years I (Arianna) finally decided it was time to pop the question. My family and I had planned a graduation/birthday party for Asha. All of our friends and family were attending and I knew this was a perfect occasion. A couple of weeks before the party I purchased the ring. The day of the party after everyone congratulated Asha, I stood up in front of all our guests and asked Asha to marry me. SHE SAID YES!! Little did I know she was planning on proposing to me as well. Once she said yes and I placed the ring on her finger, she pulled out a ring for me. She asked me "Will you marry me?" While crying I said yes. The rest is history.
