The Wedding Website of Ari Smith and Joe Scearce
Welcome to Portland! We are so excited to celebrate our wedding in Portland, Maine- a place that holds such a special place in our hearts, especially for Ari, who is proud to call it her hometown! For many of you, this will be your first time visiting, and we couldn't be happier to share this city with you. Portland is a charming city known for its historic brick streets, vibrant, working waterfront, & of course its food. From award-winning restaurants & cozy coffee shops to breathtaking ocean views & picturesque lighthouses, there’s something here for everyone to fall in love with. We hope you’ll take some time to explore- stroll along the cobblestone streets of the Old Port, pop into the local boutiques, or grab a lobster roll by the water. Whether you're sipping craft beer from a local brewery or simply breathing in the salty sea air, we know you'll see why Portland means so much to us. We can't wait to celebrate this special day with all of you!

Flight

Fly Directly into Portland, Maine

The easiest option is to fly directly into Portland International Jetport (PWM), just 15 minutes from downtown Portland and our venue. PWM is a small, easy-to-navigate airport served by major airlines like Delta, American, Southwest, and United. From the airport, you can grab a rental car, hop in an Uber/Lyft, or take a quick taxi ride into the city.

Flight

Fly into Boston + Take the Train

For a more adventurous (and often more affordable) route, fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). From there, you can hop on the Amtrak Downeaster train, which runs from Boston’s North Station to downtown Portland in about 2.5 hours. It’s a beautiful, relaxing ride with scenic views of New England towns and coastline — the perfect way to ease into vacation mode! Bonus Adventure: Visit Salem! Since our wedding is the day after Halloween, why not extend your trip with a spooky stop in Salem, Massachusetts? From Boston, you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail (Newburyport/Rockport Line) from North Station to Salem in about 30 minutes. Salem goes all out for Halloween with haunted happenings, historic tours, and witchy shops — it’s a must-visit if you’re feeling festive!

Travel Note

Hotel Blocks

We have chosen not to reserve a hotel block, as Portland offers a wide range of accommodations to suit different styles, budgets, and travel plans. Below you will find three hotels arranged in order of expense, the first being the most budget-friendly option. All are within easy walking distance to the venue and are located in the heart of downtown Portland.
