Arionna was on the East Coast celebrating her birthday when, by chance, Chaz came across her profile on Hinge—while he was back in California! Chaz caught her attention by messaging her, which led Arionna to check out his profile. She saw his prompt: "Guess my birthdate," with a taco emoji as a hint, and couldn’t resist guessing—Cinco de Mayo. Their conversation quickly picked up, and Chaz didn’t waste any time asking if they could FaceTime. They ended up talking on the phone for hours, and soon after, they were FaceTiming almost every day, excited to get to know each other. Their connection was undeniable, and they set their first date for February 15th, 2021. Although they lived an hour and a half apart—Arionna in Sacramento, CA and Chaz in Fremont, CA—they didn’t let the distance stop them. They made the drive back and forth almost every other day to see each other. It was love at first sight, and they’re both incredibly grateful they swiped right.
