FAQs

Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held at Separk Mansion. The address is 209 W 2nd Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside (weather permitting) and the reception will be held indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5 o'clock. Seating for the ceremony will begin at 4:30pm and conclude at 4:50pm. Guests arriving after this time will not be admitted until after the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We invite our guests to celebrate with us in formal garden party attire. For ladies, midi or maxi dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or dressy separates are welcomed. Gentlemen are invited to wear suits, with tuxedos optional for those who wish to dress more formally. We recommend a color palette inspired by the garden, including pastels, soft neutrals, earthy tones, and floral or elegant prints, to complement the romantic outdoor setting. Please note that the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. Surfaces include a mix of grass and concrete, and ceremony seating will be on the lawn. We recommend selecting footwear accordingly.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 24, 2026 so we can provide our vendors with a final headcount. Please note that you will be unable to access the RSVP portal after this date; any non-responses will be marked as unable to attend.

Question

Are children and plus-ones allowed?

Answer

Due to our limited venue space, we unfortunately cannot accommodate children and/or plus-ones beyond those named on your wedding invitation.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, Separk Mansion has a private parking lot for our guests. We will have an open bar during the reception, so please drink responsibly and plan your transportation accordingly. No overnight parking is permitted; guests will need to leave the venue by 10pm.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos during your wedding?

Answer

For the ceremony portion of the evening, we ask that you be fully present with us by putting away your phones and cameras. After the ceremony is over, please feel free to capture all of the photos and videos you wish!
