We're Getting Married!

It all began with Facebook. We had no mutual friends at all but were somehow mysteriously friends on Facebook and after a couple mutual comments on stories and posts, Josue asked me if i would like to go to "The Attic Tea House" with him. Of course intrigued by the incredibly unique invite, I joined him and we talked till the shop closed. Right after, we agree'd to meet at a near by park to continue getting to know each other. It began to get dark and Josue didn't want the night to end yet so he asked me if i wanted to go see a movie. I told him that the movie theaters are too cliche for me .. so i suggested an alternative option, the only way id go is if we drove an hour and a half to the Blue Fox Drive-Inn... he agree'd and we ended up watching Hotel Transylvania. And that was our first day together!

A month after we met he took me to Alki beach to a restaurant called "Ma Kai" which has really good Hawaiian food! We walked the pier, and as we were walking, he asked me if I've ever had fried ice cream. I never had, so we looked up the closest spot that had some and ordered it. When they brought it out, the plate read, in caramel writing, " Quieres Ser Mi Novia?" and he pulled out a sentimental card that also allowed me to check the yes or no box. Before i checked off the box, I told him that he had to ask my dad first. Immediately we drove home an hour away and when he got to my house, he sat outside for an hour talking to my dad. When they were done, i got his blessing and i said yes!

It all started on September 7th 2022, I (the bride) went to work that day knowing two things, 1) that i was going to get out early and 2) that i was going to celebrate my birthday a week early with Josue after work since he "couldn't get the day off" for my actual birthday! So after getting home, Josue shows up with a full shopping bag of clothes like he does every year for me to choose what I want to wear to dinner! I choose what I like, after having several breakdowns lol, then as usual, he blind folds me like he does every year so it can be a surprise! We get on the road now and after 5 minutes of pretending to be in the movie TAKEN with Liam Neeson, i knocked out due to how tired i was from work! When i woke up i asked Josue how long i was asleep and he told me about 20 minutes. So i started putting two and two together and figured that we had to be in Mukilteo because there is no where that i know of that is fancy fancy 20 minutes from Marysville! After the car stopped, I'm now being guided to our destination, i was hearing seagulls and waves which confirmed my suspicions! I thought I had it all figured out, but after taking off my blindfold and letting my eyes adjust to the light... I realized that I was standing right on the edge of a cliff and looking onto the Pacific Ocean at Rosario beach! Confused and hungry, I yell "We are at rosario beach!!?" and as i turned my head to my surprise I find Josue on one knee.. I completely went into shock. He told me "Ariana, I love you so much, you are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.. Will you Marry Me?". I started to hear clicking noises from the cameras in the distance and As i took in this moment entirely with my heart racing out of my chest, i said "Yes!" then the tears started streaming out of my eyes as he put the ring on my finger and i hugged him so tight! Shortly after, my sisters popped out from behind a huge rock, and ran to congratulate me, we cried, talked and laughed! Then we all walked down together back to the cars planing to go out to eat at a nice restaurant! Randomly i seen my friend's head pop out in a nearby Gazebo and in a split second, BOOM! My family and Josue's family jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE!" After all the hugs and congratulations, we all had a cook out and played some crazy volleyball games after! It was truly one of the greatest days I've ever lived!
