We met at Williams in April 2019 through a mutual friend and quickly became friends. After spending the summer apart for internships, we reconnected in the fall and went to a formal together. We talked about dating, but with Ariana planning to study abroad and Dylan graduating, the timing wasn’t right. Then came January 2020. Ariana made the difficult decision to leave her abroad program early due to the onset of COVID and re-enrolled at Williams for the spring. Soon after, we reconnected, picked up right where we left off, and decided—just five days before the world shut down—that we’d give dating a real shot and see where it led. A year and a half of long distance followed, and once Ariana moved to Boston (where Dylan lived), it didn’t take long for us to realize we’d found something lasting. Through job changes, adopting our dog, and even a move across the country, we’ve built a wonderful life together. Now we’re getting married and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! Fun (and possibly true) fact: About 20% of Williams alumni end up together—we guess we’re living proof!
