We're getting Married

It all began on June 11, 2022. I was hanging out with my friend when she mentioned we’d be going to the movies later that day. A few weeks before, a close family friend had told me to “look out for a guy named Ashton” — they said he was great in every way. So naturally, I had my eye open! During the movie, about halfway through, I noticed someone walking in — it was him! I later found out Ashton hadn’t planned to come, but at the last minute decided, “why not?” We didn’t speak at the movies, but after, everyone decided to go to McDonald’s. That’s where he complimented my shoes — and that simple comment was the start of everything. The next day, he invited me to play volleyball with some friends, and from there, we became inseparable. We started as best friends, but it quickly grew into something deeper. On January 28, 2024, we made it official — I became his girlfriend. After sharing countless laughs, adventures, and memories, Ashton proposed on June 24, 2025 — and of course, I said yes! Now, we can’t wait to say “I do” and start forever together on June 7, 2026.

It all started on June 11, 2022 — an ordinary day that turned into something extraordinary. I had just returned from a weekend camping trip with some friends. We ended up cutting the trip short and heading home, and on the drive back I heard that a group was getting together at the movie theater later that night. Looking for something to do, I decided at the last minute, why not? I went home, got ready, and headed out. I arrived after the movie had already started, and a friend directed me to where everyone was sitting. I settled in, watched the movie, and didn’t think much about who was there that night. After the movie ended, we all gathered in the main hall, and a smaller group decided to grab some food. We ended up at McDonald’s — and that’s when I noticed her. Instead of a simple hello, I noticed she was wearing Jordans, and the first thing I said was how much I liked her shoes. That small comment turned out to mean a lot more than I realized at the time. That same night, I invited her to play volleyball with some friends the next day. Afterward, we all went to Chili’s, and I made sure to text her later that evening. From there, things just kept growing. The more time I spent with her, the more I got to see who she truly was — and I loved everything I was seeing. So on June 24, 2025, I did what felt right and put a ring on it — and thankfully, she said yes. Now, I can’t wait for the day we become one and begin this next chapter together on June 7, 2026.
