What COVID safety precautions are being taken?

Answer

We ask that you please take a COVID test before the wedding weekend. We want to do our best to reduce the possibility of spreading COVID among guests during the weekend festivities. If you need help acquiring a test once you're in Chicago, please reach out to Ben or Ariana!

How should I travel to Chicago and around the city once I'm there?

Answer

Avoid driving to Chicago if possible because of parking! If you're coming from Michigan, the Amtrak train is a great option, and it's a short Cab/Uber/Lyft ride from Union Station to the hotels. As far as getting around the city, public transit and Cab/Uber/Lyft is by far the easiest. The CTA trains reach most major attractions in the city, and rideshares are reasonably priced within the city. Feel free to ask us for suggestions if there's somewhere specific you're trying to get to!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please let us know if you'd like recommendations for baby sitters in the area.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable and feel good, so wear something that you feel great in! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and it may be hot, so please dress accordingly (semi-formal--suits/blazers/cocktail dresses)! The reception will be indoors.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know of any food allergies and we will make sure there is plenty of food for you to eat.

Is transportation provided from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Yes! There will be transportation from the Marriott Marquis hotel. The other two hotels are less than a 5 minute walk to the Marriott. Shuttle times will be 4:45 and 5:15. Please arrive early, as the shuttles are leaving at that time. The venue is also 10 minutes away, so uber is always an option!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is free parking at Lacuna Lofts, off of 21st Street. When you enter, you will pull a ticket at the gate, You will then need to get a validation sticker from the Security Guard onsite, who will likely be at the door upon arrival. Once you leave the event you will need to scan the original ticket and then the validation sticker. That will cover their parking for that night.
