Ariana and Michael met in the most charming way, Tinder. Their first date was a dinner at Misconduct. In rare form, Ariana was running late and Mike patiently waiting. When she stepped out of the Uber, he says he was "mesmerized." They laughed over drinks and fried pickles. When the dinner was over, Mike asked Ariana to join him and his friends for the NFL draft. She denied, saying she needed to walk her dog. In Mike's persistent way, he offered to walk her dog, Carmine, with her if she would come. Flattered by the offer, they walked Carmine and she joined him to meet his friends. After that night they were inseparable.

After many memories made together, especially in Philadelphia, Mike thought it was time for him to get down on one knee. On July 22nd, Mike planned a romantic night where they would see all of their firsts. Dinner was first at Buddakan, where they first changed tables. After they stopped by Tiki Bar (unfortunately it was closed). This is where Mike first told Ariana he loved her on the dance floor while his cousin Tom was visiting. They grabbed a drink at Misconduct on JFK where they had their first date. They walked up the Ben Franklin Parkway reminiscing on the Eagles Parade and the NFL draft. They walked together up the Art Museum steps. While they were overlooking the city skyline, Mike got down on one knee and asked her to spend his life with him.
