You’ve heard about the corny stories of the boy in high school falling in love with this random girl who isn't even in her prime. well, you’ll just hear it again. Omar could tell you better but it was junior high in the hallways of Puckett High School. He was introduced to me by a mutual friend and there it was. The magical glow in my eyes and the aroma of the love of his life and he just swooned. I was oblivious to what was going on internally with this new guy so I hug him and that was the moment. The desire to be together grew as we sat in the Spanish class untying each other's shoelaces under the table, and making the teacher mad by laughing at all the corny jokes we had. After that, I had to man up and tell him he had to stop cheating on me ( i'm joking of course because we were not together) but he was stunned. I may have caught him by surprise because he didn't know us being best friends for so long would wear on me. I started to catch the glow as well. After a basketball game and playing videogames together he finally made it official. We have been crazy together ever since. <3
My beautiful fiancé had planned a birthday dinner with our family and friends and bought gifts. At that moment I realized what better time than this. It felt like the right moment after years of just enjoying each other, learning and growing together, and laughing together I knew now I wanted to ask my best friend to marry me. After dinner, I invited everyone to our house and let them in on what was about to happen. When my beloved got up to use the restroom, everyone got in place with their cameras, her sisters with their confetti and balloons waiting for my que. I called her to the living room alerting everyone that it was time. I made a very heart warming speech and tears came to her eyes. She said YES! Now we can not wait for November 4, 2021!
