Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal, but comfortable. We would prefer for our guests to be dressed nicer for our day. A formal suit or formal dress is not required, but rather a nice shirt with dress pants for the men and a jumpsuit or a nicer dress for the ladies as an example. We do, however, request no jeans.

Question

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

Weather permitting, we plan to have the ceremony out back in the vineyard. Please keep this in mind for shoes, as you will be walking through grass and potentially vines as well. Upon parking, you will see signs directing you to the vineyard. You may walk, but for guests who may not be able to or feel uncomfortable walking that distance, you may wait for the tractor with a trailer to bring you around to the back. The ceremony will be indoors if weather unfavorable. The reception will be indoors.

Question

Places to stay?

Answer

For guests traveling, we would recommend booking a hotel at the Outer Banks, which is the closest, or Elizabeth City, which is about 10 minutes farther of a drive. Elizabeth City and the Outer Banks are both within 30 minutes of our venue. I would recommend the Hilton in Kitty Hawk (2 minutes from bridge) and The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott or The Hampton Inn if you choose to stay in Elizabeth City.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing alcohol at our wedding. We will be providing all wine and beer. With that being said, we are not serving liquor at our wedding, nor is it is not permitted at our venue.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation to or from our wedding. It is up to the guest(s) to arrange transportation. Upon arriving at the venue, you will be directed by someone on where to park.
