Why did either of us sign up for a matchmaking service? Graham says that he was tired of online dating, having been on over 100 first dates, and decided to outsource his dating life to a professional, in typical tech CEO fashion. Arhana says that her mom made her do it, and she was too tired as a surgical resident to resist. The real answer is that both of us love the trashy Bravo TV show, "The Millionaire Matchmaker," and were intrigued by the idea of finding love through this unconventional method. We went on our first date in downtown Palo Alto. Graham was impressed that Arhana showed up early (unbeknownst to him, this was the first time she had ever been early on a date). She proceeded to eat all his fries at dinner and bluntly told him he needed a haircut. Obviously, he was charmed and decided to ask her out again. The rest is history. Maui was where we spent our first vacation together. We celebrated Arhana's 30th birthday here, and the relaxing vibe of the island allowed us to slow down and really get to know one another. Each trip back has bought us closer together, and Graham knew he wanted to propose in a place that has been so meaningful to our relationship. We cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family in our favorite place in the world!
